  THE "WEATHER" PAGE

        Intellicast weather is what I like to use. It is set up for Wilmington, NC. and the Cape Fear, southern, Onslow Bay area. It seems to be the better of what I've tried. We have set up this page for your convenience so you can come here and have the weather connections you need for a safe day on the water. Please remember none of them are 100% accurate and stay tuned to the marine forecast while boating.         
         If you can think of anything you would like added or changed on this page, please let Capt. Lee know. We can't please everyone, but will do our best to make this a great page for all of you.
        Once your on their sight, you can change the settings to match your area by typing in your area code.

This is great for showing "Isobars" and seeing how the wind will change as the day continues.

FRYING PAN TOWER

Not much a forecast anymore but I can't bring myself to take it  off!
NOAH & NDBC Frying Pan Tower
It is still standing if you want to see it!

       I don't know how much longer the "Frying Pan Tower" forecast will be available. They are taking FRYING PAN TOWER down, as it is no longer safe for the Coast Guard crews to maintain it. Onslow Bay & Long Bay Artificial Reef Association are working in joint effort with the NC. State Artificial Reef Division to preserve this area as a Artificial Reef. They are also working with NOHA & NDBC to have a "DATA BOUY" placed in that area to replace "Frying Pan Tower." Funding for maintenance & projects like this are expensive and state funding is limited. Help must cone from the private sector. Please contact OBARA or LBARA or your local Reef Association with any help that you can provide.
