EVENT OVERVIEW

Why Get Involved:
Because of the growing popularity of this exclusive fishing tournament and the quality of the participants it draws, this event is a perfect fit for a sponsor targeting a market comprised of professional men and women. Their income, education, family size and lifestyles make them consumers of a wide range of products and services. Sponsor involvement in this cause-related sporting event will increase awareness, enhance consideration and create a favorable predisposition toward the sponsor and its products.
History: In 1988 with the help of a few friends and legendary hitter Ted Williams, Gary Ellis founded the now famous Redbone Celebrity Tournament Series to help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation fund research needed to find a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). Guides, anglers and celebrities teamed up then and will team up now to fish for redfish and sea trout, for camaraderie and to help "catch the cure" for CF.
Itinerary: Plans for the weekend's festivities are currently being finalized. Below is the anticipated itinerary:
Friday 6:00 pm Registration and Rules Meeting
7:00 pm Captain's Party: Cocktails, Dinner, Silent and Live Auction
Saturday 6:00 am Breakfast; Angler sign in; Guides pick up materials
6:30 am Blessing of the Fleet; GO FISHING!
3-5:00 pm Dockside Celebrity Cocktail Party
Sunday 6:00 am Breakfast; Angler sign in; Guides pick up materials
6:30 am GO FISHING!
3-6:00 pm BBQ Awards Ceremony
Rules: IGFA rules will apply. All anglers and crew are expected to be familiar with IGFA rules. Rules will be distributed at registration. All controversies will be settled by the tournament committee and decisions will be final
